APPLIED TOWARDS YOUR RENT. THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF RENT IS DUE IN ADVANCE, OR
ON THE FIRST DAY OF ARRIVAL. ALL FUNDS WILL BE PLACED IN AN INTEREST
BEARING ACCOUNT AND ALL INTEREST WILL ACCRUE TO WILLA MERRIOTT REALTY,
INC., WHO IS AN AGENT OF THE OWNER AND COMPENSATED BY THE OWNER.
PAYMENT: Travelers Checks, VISA, MasterCard,
Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Cash. No personal checks unless received
by our office at least two weeks before check-in. Charge or debit cards
are not accepted on monthly stays.

HOLIDAY, YOU MUST MAKE PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS WITH OUR OFFICE. DURING PEAK
RENTAL TIMES, SOME UNITS MAY NOT BE CLEAN BY 4:00 P.M. WE APPRECIATE YOUR
PATIENCE.
CHECK-IN IS AT OUR MAIN OFFICE - GULFVIEW
PLAZA, 1021 U.S. HWY 98 EAST, DESTIN.
DO NOT GO TO THE PROPERTY YOU HAVE RENTED. THE ONLY KEYS
ARE AT THIS OFFICE.
CHECK-OUT IS NO LATER THAN 10:00 A.M. CENTRAL
TIME. If you fail to abide by this you will be charged a
half-days rent.
DIRECTIONS TO RENTAL OFFICE: 1021 U.S. Hwy. 98
East - Gulf View Plaza - Across from the round Holiday Inn - Destin.
COMING FROM WEST,(from Ft. Walton
Beach or Pensacola ) On U.S. Hwy 98, over Brooks Bridge in Fort Walton
Beach and the intersection of Santa Rosa Blvd., continue on Hwy 98,
immediately on right is Radisson Inn and Ramada Inn. Continue on Hwy. 98,
5 more miles to Destin's Marler Bridge, go through 5 lights (2.5 miles) to
our office, passing in order: Beach Dr., McDonald's, Burger King, Main
St., Gulfshore Dr. and Big Kahuna's Water park. Turn left (North) across
from the round Holiday Inn just before Pizza Hut, Days Inn and
Chick-Fil-A. Look for the "MERRIOTT" sign and "GULFVIEW PLAZA", an
L-shaped stucco one story building with a gray metal roof .
COMING FROM EAST, the Mid-Bay
Bridge ($2 toll) is at Niceville on Hwy. 20. Just after Ramada Inn Express
turn south at the the stop light marked "White Point Rd.," Hwy 293. When
you get off that bridge, turn right (West) at the light onto 4-lane U.S.
Hwy. 98 East. Follow it 2.7 miles to our office, passing in order: Publix,
Barnes & Noble, Matthew Blvd., Wal-Mart, Airport Rd., Wendy's and Days
Inn. Turn right (North) across from the the round Holiday Inn. You have
gone too far if you come to Big Kahuna's Water Park, Gulfshore Dr. or Main
St. Look for the "MERRIOTT" sign and "GULFVIEW PLAZA", an L-shaped stucco
one story building with a gray metal roof, beside Days Inn & Pizza
Hut.
DEPOSIT: Your deposit is fully
refundable within 14 days after departure provided the following
provisions are met and the other rules in this information sheet are
adhered to:
- Lock all doors, but do NOT engage security locks. Return
keys to the office where you got the keys and paid rent. If our office is
closed, drop the keys in the lockbox at our office. Do not give to anyone
on-site, including the security guard, and do not leave in the unit.
- No damage done beyond normal wear & tear and property
left reasonably clean and picked up. No stains or cigarette burns. THIS IS
A NON-SMOKING UNIT YOUR DEPOSIT WILL BE FOREITED IF ANY SIGNES OF SMOKING
IS OBSERVED. Bag all garbage, debris and rubbish and place in proper
receptacle outside regularly during the entire stay.
- All dishes left clean and put away in cabinets. Empty
refrigerator and freezer, except ice, and dispose in trash receptacle
outside.
- Close all windows. Leave remote controls in unit. Do not
make beds.
- No charges incurred due to pets, contraband, phone
charges, collections of rents, or charges for services rendered during
occupancy and no unnecessary maintenance calls.
CANCELLATIONS OR SHORTENING STAY:
Written notice AT LEAST 14 days prior to check-in on
weekly/daily rentals; AT LEAST 60 days on houses; 60 days on monthly
stays. You will be charged a MINIMUM of $35 per reservation if you shorten
or cancel your stay. You will forfeit entire advance rent payment and
deposit if written notice not given within these guidelines. Cancellation
or early departure due to illness, inclement weather, late arrival, or
accommodations does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. Multiple
weeks have more stringent cancellation policies.
PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:
We can cancel your stay, retain your deposit, and
charge a minimum $100 extra fee.
YOUNG SINGLES (UNDER 25), CANNOT BE ACCOMMODATED UNLESS
PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS STAY IN THE UNIT THE ENTIRE
STAY:. Any reservation made under
false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of rent and deposit, and the
party will not be permitted to register or remain in the
property.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: 2 bedroom
- 6; Special arrangements can be made, please inquire. We reserve the
right to cancel your stay, retain your deposit and the balance of your
rent, should this be violated, if prior arrangements are not
made.
DAILY MAID SERVICE IS NOT INCLUDED:
An initial supply of bath soap, dishwasher detergent,
toilet tissue, bed linens and bath towels is provided. An exchange of
towels or linens is available for an additional fee. Bring your own beach
towels, as none of our linens can be carried to the beach.
GENERAL: The property can be
sublet. A property is assigned, however, we reserve the right to change to
another of similar size and location. Owner nor rental agent are
responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of money, jewelry, or
valuables of any kind. All phones are toll-restricted. If you want beach
chairs, please bring them. The larger condominiums rent them to guests,
however, smaller properties do not. If you are locked out and we have to
bring you a key, there is a $25-$50 charge, depending on distance and the
hour, payable at that moment. Lost key charge $10-$50, depending on the
type of key. Insufficient check charge $25.
MOST PROPERTIES HAVE AT LEAST A 3-4 NIGHT MINIMUM
STAY: An additional fee may be charged
from $49-$145 if less than the minimum stay.
EACH PROPERTY IS PRIVATELY OWNED AND
FURNISHED:Each owner has decorated and
equipped their unit to their tastes. It is up to each individual owner if
they choose to provide a grill, umbrella, or beach chairs. Items must not
be taken to other units. If any items are missing, your deposit will be
charged. If you move any furniture, TV's, VCR's, twin beds, etc., they
must be moved back in original position, and reconnected in working order,
or your deposit will be charged.
MAINTENANCE: If our
maintenance personnel need to make repairs during your stay, they will do
so as quickly as possible. Our properties in prime season are occupied
every day, and it is impossible to keep them in tip-top shape in the few
hours between check-out and check-in. ANY UNNECESSAY MAINTENANCE CALLS
THAT YOU HAVE REPORTED OR CAUSED WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR
DEPOSIT.
EACH BUILDING IS MANAGED BY AN OWNERS ASSOCIATION OR
PROPERTY MANAGER: They have rules you must
obey to provide comfort and enjoyment to all residents, or be subject to
eviction. Their rules will be posted by the security guard or manager.
Many companies rent the units, while only one company manages the outside,
security, pool, etc. Some of the rules are:
- Towels or clothing are prohibited from being hung on
railings, chairs, etc., that would be visible from the beach, and garages
must be kept closed.
- Quiet time and pool curfew 10 p.m. - 8 a.m., children
must be accompanied by parents. No loud music. No skateboards. No running
in halls or around pool. Luggage carts are not permitted to stay inside
units and must be returned to ground floor as soon as possible.
- Fires of any kind, including barbecue grills, are
prohibited in units, garages, balconies, porches, decks, or beach. The
Enclave Condominiums have outdoor community grills next to the
clubhouse.
- Garbage must be bagged AND tied.
NOTE - MANY PROPERTIES HAVE VERY LIMITED
PARKING: especially along Scenic 98, and can only accommodate
1-2 vehicles per unit. Many have reserved parking and your vehicle can be
towed if parked in the wrong space.
IF YOU HAVE AN OVERSIZED VEHICLE, MORE THAN 2 VEHICLES, RV, JET
SKI or TRAILERED BOAT. YOU MUST CHECK WITH US BEFOREHAND.
