James Lee County Park
Along Old U.S. 98 near the Walton County line. Concessions,
restrooms, picnic tables and showers are available.

Henderson Beach State Park
The park is located at 17000 Emerald Coast Parkway
just east of Destin. Restrooms, picnic tables and
showers are available. Small fee to enter park.

Elgin Air Force Beach
West side of Destin Bridge, off U.S. 98 on Okaloosa

John Beasley Wayside Park
Along U.S. 98 on Okaloosa Island, 1.25 miles east
of Fort Walton Beach. Lifeguards, restrooms, picnic
tables, showers and a visitor center are available.

Brackin Wayside Park and Boardwalk
Along U.S. 98 on Okaloosa Island, one mile east
of Fort Walton Beach. Concessions, lifeguards(seasonal),
restrooms, picnic tables and showers are available.

Gulf Islands National Seashore -
Okaloosa Island is Fort Walton Beach's biggest attraction.
Snow-white sandy beaches and clear emerald-green waters with
over twenty-four miles of pristine beach. A favorite beach
activity on the gulf side is watching dolphins play offshore.
On the bay side of Gulf Islands National Seashore you can watch
wind surfers riding the waves and floating gracefully through the
air. Close by you'll find the Gulfarium, Emerald Coast Science Center,
Indian Temple Mound and Museum; and the U.S. Airforce Armament Museum.

Park

Henderson Beach State
Park
The natural 6,000-foot beach is protected by sand
dunes and sea oats. Dolphins and rays can be seen frolicking in the
emerald waters offshore. Enjoy the nature trails, and picnic areas. Pure
white sand characterize Henderson Beach Park.
